8 MONTHS OLD!

Time is flying by. I can not believe that Lincoln is already 8-months old today. He has been so much fun in our home this last month. Lincoln's little personality is really coming out and it just leaves Derek and I laughing all the time. He has recently discovered that if we are feeding him something he doesn't like (aka: green beans) he can just squeeze his little lips together and that makes it rather difficult for Mom and Dad to get it in his mouth. Funny story: While I was at school the other day, Derek and Lincoln were having it out with the food issue. Derek, has always talked with Lincoln like he is an adult, told Lincoln that if he didn't eat than he would go in his bed. Well, apparently the third time was the charm... after placing him in his bed 3 different times because he wouldn't he Lincoln finally opened his mouth and finished his dinner. :) I had no idea you could already "discipline" a baby of 8-months.

Lincoln also is not a fan when we walk away from him (unless he is distracted by something). He is moving all over the place. I can't say that he is crawling but, he kind of does a roll and scoot kind of action. I think he often surprises him self where he can end up (see picture below of him under the Jump-A-Roo). Lincoln has two teeth or maybe I should call them knives...:) He enjoys playing Peak-A-Boo and loves when you "Scare" him. He loves to listen to people talk to us on the phone and wants to EAT everything in site. He LOVES his Daddy and will only fall asleep in Daddy's arms... otherwise he'd just rather be put in his bed to go to sleep on his own. His current "toy" of choice is the Kirkland Wipes (I think he just loves the sound).

Lincoln has stared trying to pull him self up things are wants to be walking just like Mom and Dad. He enjoys chewing on the tags of anything. And he has the most contagious laugh and smile in the world! Honestly he has the sweetest smile but, it is often difficult to capture via camera because he is far to interested in the camera it self. Lincoln is a very observant baby. If he doesn't know you very well it usually takes him time to warm up to you and smile (otherwise he just wants to watch every move you make) and after he decides you are okay he will then smile and laugh with you. Most people think he is a very serious baby but, honestly he really isn't, he just wants to figure you out before he shows his true colors.

We just love our little boy! Here are some recent pictures of our little man.
