Lincoln

Linc has been so much fun to have in our family and has been at such a fun stage in life.  A  few things I want to remember about him right now:

He is into every superhero character you can imagine right now and on a daily basis asks for one of the following themed birthdays, (Superman, Buzz, Woody, Lightening McQueen, Spiderman, & Batman).  I keep reminding him that his birthday is not until December, but I apparently have a party to plan for this boy and he does not want me to forget that! Smile

When Linc sees something he does not have (which is often), he will say, Mom, I don’t have a watch, can I have a -Superman, Buzz, Woody, Lightening McQueen, Spiderman, or Batman- watch (inserting on of the items from that list).  I keep telling him I will put it on his wish list, so after many weeks of saying that he has just starting asking if those items can go on his wish list. Smile

We had some friends over the other day and the kids were playing downstairs, after a while of playing one of our friends kids Jackson came up and he had “painted” his face with highlighters and markers.  I had put a bunch of those items away the other day when we had some other friends over, but they had gone through my computer boxes and found a bunch more.  Smile  Well, as soon as we saw what Jackson had done with his face we ran down stairs to see what else had been done.  Lincoln’s face was covered in the highlighters and markers and I have yet to be able to get it all off and its been 3 days.  Smile

Lincoln loves people and wants to say “Hi” to everyone we pass.  On Sunday we were walking on the Greenbelt.  This older woman passed us and Lincoln said, “Hi”.  She did not respond so Linc kept getting louder and louder.  He was not pleased she would not say Hi back.  Finally as loud as he could he yelled out, “HI GRANDMA!”  Derek and I were dying.  She never responded, but it sure made us laugh.

He loves telling me when he sees a pretty woman, he will say, “Momma, she is pretty!” Makes me nervous that a 3 year old is already recognizing pretty woman.  And most of them are 20 plus years.

A few days ago Lincoln asked Derek, “Daddy can you go make me a Sister?”  On that same note, Linc has been asking for a Sister.  We were in Utah a few weekends ago and he was talking to my brother about sisters.  My dear brother told him, “Sisters are poopy”.  So, he will often ask for a Sister and then proceed to tell me they are Poopy.  Oh, the things they remember.

Monday night we were having family home evening.  Derek was talking to Lincoln about being Honest.  Lincoln could care less about the topic and just kept asking if he could talk to Jesus and see Jesus.  We then talked to him about those options and proceeded to tell him that he could feel Jesus’ love by being a  good boy and can pray to Heavenly father and Jesus. We also mentioned that the temple is the house of the Lord.  Yesterday after Derek got off work we (the boys and I) met Derek at the temple so I could do a session and he could take the boys.   When we got to the temple Lincoln wanted to go in and see Jesus inside the temple.  He was dying to go watch Buzz with Jesus in the temple.  Smile

Lincoln loves his animals.  A few nights ago I went to check on Lincoln.  He had put all of his animals on his pillow, attempted to cover them with his blanket and was curled up in the middle of his bed without a blanket or pillow.  What a thoughtful little boy we have!

I love hearing all the funny things little kids say!! It's never ending! My older kids don't do it as much now and it's sad. :-(
