20 reasons why I am not so sure why I deserve Derek: (items in no particular order)

1.I was struggling with a quiz I had in my ECON class so what did Derek do? That’s right, he did… he took time to read through the chapters on that quiz so he could help me understand the information.
2.School has now been in for about 2 ½ weeks and with school, work and life I have been so busy and so tired… but, I am certain I couldn’t have done this with out Derek because he has taken my nights these past few weeks and prepared dinner for us (without even questioning it).
3.I have had serious Allergies for the past 14 days and it has made it difficult to sleep at night, what does Derek do? Well, the kind, thoughtful and loving man rubs my back until I fall asleep.
4.The man makes me feel beautiful even when I know I am not looking so good… yet he is so sincere.
5.Exercise is something that is very important to me right now with being pregnant but, that being said it’s hard to get the motivation to do it all the time. So, Derek encourages me through different things and its amazing how it really has helped me get moving.
6.Right now my time is very limited with working full time and going to school full time… so, that being said, it’s been really hard during the week to find time to be with him. And when I talk to him about it and apologize for my limited amount of time he just smiles and says, “You’d do it for me too”. The man NEVER complains to me about it but, lets me know he still loves and misses me.
7.Those who know Derek know that he is a planner. Right now he is researching companies in Utah that he could work for and would like to work for… better yet he is working to make contact ASAP with some of these companies to get his name out there even though we won’t be home until some time around June 2010. But, he wants to be prepared and be able to take care of his family.
8.Derek is a very wise man; he knows how to have fun but, at the same time is so so so Smart about what we spend. But, at the same time if I REALLY want something, he will find a way to get it… but, to convince him to get something that he wants… well that’s not so easy.
9.He makes me breakfast every morning “to go” since I am always in a hurry.
10.I know he loves me and would do ANYTHING for me.
11.He loves the gospel and never hesitates to do the right thing even when it might be tough.
12.He may be a dreamer but, he is one who makes his dreams come to life even when it may not be until 5+ years down the road.
13.We have almost been married for a year and still treats me like we just go married yesterday.
14.He loves to be involved in what is happening around the world. If anyone wants to know the latest just call him or if you want someone to discus the current events he is always up for a chat.
15.It was hard for him when we found out about our Sweet little surprise (our baby boy that is due December 22nd). But, even though it wasn’t our plan he has come around and does everything he can to help us prepare for the little guy.
16.What ever may be important to me becomes important to him.
17.He does everything he can to help me accomplish my goals and dreams.
18.He is so great with Kids. Our friends children love it when Derek is around… they climb all over him and he just plays with them non-stop.
19.He is always trying to find ways to help and serve those around him.
20.He is never content in him self and always knows and feels that he has room to grow and improve. And because of this I have found myself trying to do the same with my self. He truly is always trying to be better when the man is already AMAZING!

I am a lucky woman... what can I say more about that.
