Derek and I recently celebrated our 1st year anniversary. We were able to spend a few days on the beach together and a really cute Bed & Breakfast in Florida. It was fun and much needed. We have had a wonderful and challenging first year that was full of surprises and many blessings. We are amazed my the lessons that have been learned and how much we feel we've grown together during this last year. Derek truly is a wonderful husband and I am looking forward to seeing him as a father. I really feel so grateful to have him as my husband. Life in the last year has brought us many surprises but, the biggest one of all was finding out that we were pregnant. But, as each new surprise came our way we have tried our best to embrace it and make the best of it. We are looking forward to our little guy joining us here in the next 10 weeks or so.
It looks like we will be returning to Utah some time around April 2010. We will be living with family until the contract is up at our Condo in Provo and hopefully by then we will have a job and be ready to start life together in Utah with our new little family.

What has Derek been up to?
- A LOT of studying! (he has an amazing memory and I really hope our children get that from him)
- Derek started the Apache course about two weeks ago and is LOVING it. He begins to fulfill a long time dream of his.
- Moving us... yes that right, he really has done ALL of the moving since I was unable to do so being very pregnant and all, not to mention out of town for part of it. (A special thanks to all of those that helped Derek and mostly to The Stocktons for letting us stay with them for a few weeks in between houses).
- Church callings; teaching Gospel Essentials and we are also Ward Missionaries.
As for me?
- getting bigger day by day with our little guy growing in me.
- working on my bachelors degree
- visiting family & friends in Utah
- and soon to be doing lots of preparation for our Baby
Sorry for the long wait on posting... One day I may become better at this blogging stuff. As for now, don't hold your breath. :)

I'm glad to hear that you guys are doing well! Are you guys moving off post right now or did you get a new house on post? It sounds like y'all are super busy! We are excited for Derek to have started flying Apaches! Yahoo! I can't believe you are 30 weeks already! That is crazy. Good luck with your new little guy!
