Yep, you heard it right... we started using cloth diapers. Most people think of the olden day cloth diapers that you have to use a LARGE safety pin to keep it on, but as many things have updated so have the cloth diapers. See http://www.momsmilkboutique.com/ for more information.
So why have we decided to go this way?
1. Price: In the long run this should and will save us a lot of money. The upfront expense is a lot but, well worth it and will pay it self off pretty quick.
2. Sensitive Bum: Lincoln has had a sensitive bum since the day he was born. Honest to goodness he was born with a diaper rash. And no matter how many times I change his diaper it just keeps coming back.
3. Environmentally Friendly: Our garbage has at least doubled since the little man was born.
4. And many many more reasons!

Eek! I pretty much love nothing more than seeing a nudie baby in a cloth diaper... Hope my miles long email was helpful, or at the very least, that it didn't make you afraid of me. (P.S. Just realized I could get to your blog through Allison's, so consider me your newest stalker!)
Tell me about the laundry situation now that you are going the cloth route. I'm curious. I haven't considered the cloth diaper thing because of the idea of tons and tons of laundry but having two in diapers will be quite the expense so my mind is a little more open to the idea. Let me know! Thanks
We almost did this with Liane, but for some reason never did, but I am SERIOUSLY considering it for the next one.
So are you sticking with it? Is your 30 day trial over? ... Lincoln looks so cute in the little cloth diapers. The cloth diapers are cute! :)
