HAPPY 30TH BABE!

Derek turned 30 yesterday! I wanted to make sure he had a good birthday this year...last year we ended up having to move ON his Birthday so I felt that I had some making up to do. :) So, that being said we have been having a Birthday week that started on Saturday. Here are some of the things that we've done.

SATURDAY: (much to Derek's surprise) I worked it out for his sister Allison (THANKS ALLISON!!) to come take Lincoln at about noonish. And he then left to come pick me up in Park City where I was with some friends. We had a little lunch together and then went on a beautiful drive (somewhere in the Unitas I think??) We got back to the house around 5 cleaned up and I took him to our all time favorite place, THE ROOF. We both enjoyed the meal VERY much! It was a lot of fun and more than anything it was nice to spend the day together with just us. We LOVE Lincoln but, every parent deserves some time off, right?

SUNDAY: I made a yummy dinner for us with homemade rolls, Pork BBQ ribs, Yams, Corn, & Potatoes...there was a lot of food! Then Linc, Derek and I went on a drive up Alpine Loop. Sadly we didn't take pictures of ANY of these drives. I guess we will just have to do it again. We had a great time! It was so pretty and now all the leaves are starting to change colors so that just added to the beauty.

The other days I just made him dinners that he loves and tried to keep the house clean (it wasn't a total success).

And WEDNESDAY: I had a little surprise BBQ party for him. It was fun! Below are some pictures of the fun. Thanks everyone that was able to come, we had a great time. And special thanks to Chad for making the AMAZING Chocolate Mousse Cake (everyone LOVED it), Ali and Scott for bringing their BBQ Grill, and Carrie and Rick for the bowls & fruit dish.

There is of course more to come since we are having a birthday week!
