ALREADY 9 MONTHS OLD?

Lincoln is 9 months old today! He continues to make us laugh and surprise us all the time. To be honest with you much has not changed since the 8 month post. Linc still refuses to crawl, below you will see some pictures of his downward dog. He is AMAZING at going backward but, will not go forward... maybe he thinks its faster? The other day I was working on the computer doing school stuff and he was just playing right by me. Well, at one moment he was facing inches away from going down the stairs, I knew he would not go forward so I just watched him. Well, before I could even blink an eye he had turned completely around so that his little feet were dangling down the first stair! He was determined to go down.

Lincoln has still proven to be a wonderful sleeper at night. Most nights he will go to be between 7:30-8:00ish and won't wake up for about twelve hours. He is still taking three naps but, the third nap is kind of short and just gives me a moment to get dinner going. He loves standing up and refuses to bend his knees if you are trying to get him to sit down. He continues to LOVE food and will eat just about anything you give him. Of course he favorite food are all the sweeter things (i.e. fruit or yams), but like I said he is usually willing to eat anything. Oh, and he also really likes oatmeal. The other day, Derek and I were eating lunch and he started looking at us like, "Hey don't eat in front of me, I want some!", so I asked him if he wanted some food as well. We know this was a fluke but, when I ask him he looked at me with his adorable, sweet eyes and nodded his head yes. We of course laughed and got him some food too!

To most people that don't spend much time around Linc they would say that he seems kind of serious. But, what we have learned is that he is just wanting to study you out and figure out what you are about before he becomes your friend. And after that... well, he is just all giggles. When we put Lincoln down for a nap or bed he often just talks to himself for a good 5+ minutes, it is ADORABLE! He refuses to go to sleep in your arms (unless your Daddy, because apparently he has the touch), so that can make 3-hours of church kind of difficult.

Lincoln's preferred toys consist of the little Wipes boxes, the cell phone, or even the remote! Pretty much anything that is not an actual toy. He loves to hear you sing. I often will sing a long list of songs to him but, he most enjoys POPCORN POPPING ON THE APRICOT TREE. He also continues to love he JUMP-A-ROO, so much so that I am certain he is going to jump himself right out of it one day because he jumps so high in it!
