Dusty-Rusty

Our little Dusty-Rusty is such a fun little guy to have around. 90% of the time he is smiling and happy, but, my-oh-my this boy does not stop. Dustin has started walking full fledged these days. From the moment he gets up and until he goes to sleep he is moving and trying to destroy something. With Lincoln we really didn't need to worry, he NEVER got into anything. But, Dustin he gets into EVERYTHING he shouldn't. Today in fact was a prime example, I was talking with my sister and put my phone down for 10 seconds, in that 10 seconds Dustin go a hold of my phone, and deleted EVERY single contact. And about 3-hours latter , he was pulling things out of my kitchen cupboard, and broke one of my favorite plastic bowls. I am not sure how he even did that. But, this is how it always is with this boy, you turn your back on him for a few seconds and you are out of luck. I am not sure how to stop him. We have been trying to teach him to not pull things out of the outlets (he loves to for some odd reason), and I counted one day that I flicked him on the hand 24 times to try and teach him that it was not ok for him to do that, I finally just had to get up and move him from the situation before I really made his poor little and really sore. He is persistent and consistent! But, the best thing about him is that he is always smiling and helps us all do that same at home even when we don't want to. Dustin will climb up the toys at the park and find all the slides and go down them on his own. He LOVES going to the park with his bro.
Dustin was a champ for his first birthday cake-smashing celebration. Like everything else he destroyed the cake, he was not afraid to get cake on his hands, face and even in his eyes! We were so thrilled this year because Grammy go to be with us for his birthday. We also had some other dear friends and family members join us to celebrate this sweet boy.
